Our History

13 Years of Adventures

Since that first educational tour, adventure camp and leadership camp our passion hasn’t faded for one moment. We are still doing it the same way…. just better…. We now have the experience.

Putting tour packages together that fit your budget, give us great pleasure.

We have learned over the years that a satisfied client is a happy client. We want to keep it that way.

How We Got Started

Thoughts, heart’s desire, teaching is fun, outdoor education, love for making it easy for other’s…. This is how Spore started.

Loving the teaching profession and know the demands it has, was the perfect motivation to take the opportunity when it came around. From day one, we knew it was the right decision.

Our First Adventure

A dream comes true! Experiencing relaxed teachers was a highlight! Learners have fun while learning was the ultimate. We also experienced the true meaning of outdoor education and a classroom without walls.

Our Founders

Lynette Marais is the founder of Spore. Being a teacher herself, she imagined the struggle teachers have organising a school outing while standing in the classroom. She has a passion for kids and love seeing them enjoy learning. Fun and excitement are two important words in her life.

Knowing the need of a teacher and financial demands there are for parents, Lynette bring those two aspects together in a very gentle way.

Our Reviews

What our clients have to say

“Baie dankie vir die lekker toer die jaar.

Ons verblyf was baie lekker en kinders het dit baie geniet. Die aktiwiteite was goed gereël en alles het seepglad verloop.

Die kos was ook op ‘n great gehalte gewees en ons het baie lekker geeet. Kameel ritte, die grotte en die olifante was ‘n lekker ervaring vir die kinders. Die res van die aktiwiteite ook.”

Mr. B Kotze - Table View Primary School

“Lynette from Spore has become more than just a school tour organiser for us – she has become a FRIEND! Her unwavering willingness to be at our beck and call when we are so far from home, makes for a thoroughly enjoyable outing with a whole bunch of happy (sometimes rowdy) Queenians from the Eastern Cape. Thanks Lynette!  See you next year!”

Queen’s College Boy’s Primary School, Queenstown

“This tour was the highlight of my school career at Monte Vista and an absolute treat to be a part of as an Educator now. Thank you, Lynette and your team. We will see you next year again ♡”

Mike Payne - Monte Vista Primary School, Cape Town

“We have the privilege of using the services of Spore in die Suid-Kaap for 13 years now. Every year our grade 7’s have an experience of a lifetime as the program is really exciting and caters for all tastes. The plentiful food is a highlight and we always have 5-star service from Lynette and her team. They have a big heart and they truly treat you like family. We cannot recommend them enough and look forward to seeing them in the coming year again.”

Vicky Verwey - Monte Vista Primary School

“Our tours have been professionally organised, even when we have had to make a last minute change to our plans due to the weather. Lynette always goes the extra mile to make us feel welcome, even trying to arrange the best biltong price for us. We have used Sporesa for the past two years for our grade 6 educational tour to Oudtshoorn and I can say with confidence that we will be using them again next year.”
